Discreetly inserted within an existing street frontage and carefully calibrated to the human scale, the intervention establishes a subtle balance between old and new, between solidity and transparency.
Attached along its north-eastern side to an existing residential building, the project proposes a compact volume distinguished by a clearly contemporary expression, without dominating the built context; rather, it complements it through a carefully considered architectural language.
The façade becomes the defining element of the project: the materiality of the envelope is enhanced through a dynamic interplay between solid surfaces with an organic timber texture and generous glazed areas, which strengthen the visual relationship with the exterior while tempering the structural rigor of the grid articulated by slender vertical mullions.
At ground-floor level, the corner of the building is treated as an accent element, articulated through a rounded, fluid, transparent glazed surface that softens the boundary between interior and exterior and suggests an opening towards the public realm.
Through the balance between materiality, proportion, and light, the project illustrates a sensitive approach to the revitalization of existing urban fabrics, enhancing the identity of the place and its architectural value.
